Noida Authority Halts Salaries of Eight Senior Officials Over Prolonged Neglect of IGRS Complaints
Noida Authority CEO Lokesh M has withheld the salaries of eight senior officials for repeatedly neglecting IGRS grievances, each carrying over a dozen pending cases. The disciplinary action highlights the administration’s push for accountability and timely public complaint resolution.
According to officials, each of the eight officers had twelve or more unresolved grievance cases, placing them in the “defaulter” category under the Authority’s internal monitoring framework. Despite receiving explicit instructions from the CEO to clear the backlog, the officers reportedly did not meet expectations, prompting administrative intervention.
The officials whose salaries have been withheld include Kranti Shekhar, Arvind Kumar, A.K. Arora, S.P. Singh, R.P. Singh, Meena Bhargava, Priya Singh, and Sanjeev Kumar Bedi. Their remuneration will remain suspended until further orders, pending satisfactory action on the outstanding cases and internal compliance reviews.
The decision signals a firm message from the Noida Authority regarding accountability in grievance redressal. With public complaints continuing to shape citizen trust in local administration, the enforcement measure underscores the growing emphasis on timely resolution and transparency in governance mechanisms.
